Walking home of a Friday

Drawn to green… need more green. For a moment I was imagining I was in early summer and green was everywhere. But I'll take spring. Spring is good.  York Street, Toronto.

I really love this doorway, and have attempted to photograph it a number of times. Posting it in honour of Windsor back home! Wellington Street, Toronto.

253 Wellington Street, to be exact. That number is back lit – I think it's reallly pretty at dusk.

Have some memories of that doorway pic.. When we did the Bejing Olympics (from Toronto) that summer, we would sit on those steps after our shift (usually in the middle of the night) and drink a post work beer. Many were staying at the hotel next door, and boldly used that public place as our ‘front porch.’ Lucked out with no police drive-bys.

Love the story! Love the thought of me being drawn to the door, and my sister having sat there and had a beer on its step. :0)

I love that doorway too…there is just somethign about the combination of the lettering, the brick and the colour of the door…

That door looks ominous like maybe they’ve got Frankenstein wired up in there or something.

Lots of great Deco going on in the city. There was a huge downtown fire that destroyed much of the downtown core somewhere before this time, so it probably represents a re-building period. I should check on the accuracy of that assumption…
