morning at the gallery

It's a beautiful, mild Saturday morning and we walk up to the Art Gallery of Ontario to see the "Chagall and the Russian Avant-Garde" exhibit.  Above, the south wing of the gallery walking up Beverley Street and looking through Grange Park.  I wish I could have captured the blue of that glass and titanium, and today it was as if it reflected up and coloured the sky.

I can't take pictures of the art, and what would be the point?  Chagall's use of colour is breathtaking.  As I said to Ceri, he's the kind of painter that, when you encounter him in a gallery, you don't see any of the other art around him.

Ceri and sculpture in the Galleria Italia.  Warm and wonderful space.

I love the curve of those wooden windows next to the straight lines of the tree sculpture…that looks like an amazing space!

What a wonderful outing with someone special Jen. You’re so fortunate to be able to walk to all of these amazing creative spots in Toronto. I bet you went for a nice breakfast too.

Yesterday Ceri and were talking about how nice it is to be able to live in the centre of things. We did have a nice breakfast – but I actually MADE it!
